I forgot to say THANK YOU to my Secret Pal for sending Gardetto's and an AMC gift card to Justin's house for me! I was HUNGRY when I got to the city, and I opened the bag immediately. And I am going to use the gift card to take Justin to a movie!

Nice work, SP!

Peter's List

I thought about asking for egg nog, but I recently bought and enjoyed my first nog of the season. I bought the light version but it was still thick and intense, and since I don’t live with mom any more I didn’t even have to mix it with milk to make the nog last longer. It was a treat. But I think I’ve had enough to hold me until next year. So, no more nog for me please.

Coffee Mugs – Singles or a small set, nice ones, my last set was cheap and started to wear away after about a year. I like big or biggish mugs, I don’t really have a style or certain kind in mind.

Raisin Nut Bran and Cracklin’ Oat Bran - are good cereals that I like to buy if/when they’re on sale.

I’m still a fan of meals out, dim sum is a classic, or something else, I’m flex.

I’ve cut the swiffer sweepers out of my budget, it was an extra that I’m making do without. I still have a few, but I’ve also been reintroduced to the traditional broom and dust pan. No more swiffer sweepers for me.

Consider the pros and cons of leaving your big bank(s) in favor of a member owned not for profit credit union to join as an alternative? May not meet all of your banking needs but a pro and con list couldn’t hurt.

Consider maxing out and/or opening and contributing to a Roth IRA or another form of retirement savings?

I was going to ask for flannel bed sheets but after a few online reviews, I couldn’t wait any longer and I bought the Woolrich brand flannel sheets from Target, $25, so far so good, I would recommend.

I’ll need some new clothes at some point. My plan was to throw away most of my clothes when I got a new job, and buy new clothes for the new job. But that plan is going on 3 years and my JC Penny polo’s only have so much life in them. I’ve bought a little here and there out of necessity, but it’s kind of embarrassing how I dress to work, but hey, you don’t have to dress like a fashion model to subrogate fools. Cash for clothes might be good, I don’t really have any favorite stores, cash would prob be more effective than a gift card to a store.

I’m a fan of Starbucks gift cards and/or gas cards, those would def get used.

More ideas to come perhaps.

Morgan James Patrick McGyver Brady

Hey all. Maybe its that I'm alone in a new city and spend a lot of time walking. Maybe its that I live in major shopping district. Maybe its that I'm simply REALLY excited about the holiday season this year. Whatever the reason, I'm already thinking about Christmas. I walk past the shops and storefronts thinking about things you all might need and want. So I am really looking forward to seeing the kind of things you'd like to find in your stockings...

As for me, I have some ideas... : )

CDs:
Do you have Adele's 19 or the I Am Sam soundtrack? I'd really love to have a burned copy of either.

Books:
I'm interested in reading Dave Egger's The Wild Things, Nick Hornby's Juliet, Naked and Malcolm Gladwell's The Outliers. They are all new books, and are rather expensive, but maybe you can find a used copy.

Clothes:
The "salt and peppered" hoodie is an item I have been lusting after. Particularly in black or dark gray. I'd love something that I could wear to rehearsal, but could also dress up with a colored shirt underneath. Size XS or S.

On the ship, we are required to have two different types of shoes for our uniforms: a white athletic shoes and a black leather shoes (with laces). Neither can have ostentatious logos. I'd prefer something that is stylish, but is also comfortable to wear for hours at a time. Size 7.5 or 8.

Speaking of shoes, I don't need, but really love crazy looking Nikes. Especially hightops.

Personal Care Items:
My Sonicare toothbrush desperately needs a new head. : ) I am also running low on cologne.

I look forward to hearing from all of you!!

WELCOME TO CHRISTMAS 2009!

I think I can say, without question, that this is going to be the best Christmas ever.
